Tres Commas Celebration
On Thursday, June 28, we celebrated a Patientco milestone – we reached one billion dollars in payments processed! With this huge achievement, we wanted to make it memorable, as Patientco always does. To celebrate our one billion dollars processed, we threw a Tres Commas party!
You’re probably wondering what Tres Commas means… well, we called our party Tres Commas because of the three commas that make up a billion. The idea to call it Tres Commas sparked from the show, Silicon Valley. The show has a running joke of Marc Cuban’s clothing brand Three Commas and the three comma club. Around the same time that we were reaching one billion dollars processed, the show released episodes referring to the three comma club. The timing was great, so throwing a Tres Commas was a fun way to acknowledge our achievement! Everyone at the company was ecstatic to have achieved this goal – even those who may not watch Silicon Valley.
Back to the celebration… during the Tres Commas party, we celebrated the work that lead up to and culminated in reaching our three commas. Patientco has been helping patients pay hospital bills for more than 7 years. This event celebrated all of that effort! Tres Commas was held on the roof of Ponce City Market with a beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. The Atlanta skyline also happens to symbolize where Patientco began – in Atlanta. A big part of the culture at Patientco is that we work hard but also love to have fun. The night was filled with many festivities including fair games, food, drinks, and even a special rap by our own CEO, Bird Blitch, performed by Rebekah Baer! It was the perfect summer night. A celebration like Tres Commas continues to push our team to improve each and every day.
At the end of the night, everyone went home with brand new Patientco branded Patagonia work backpacks with a special Tres Commas shirt inside. We’re looking forward to adding another comma soon!
